I help professional individuals and couples who have gotten to a place in life where so much seems to be going right, but relationship problems or insecurities are taking a big toll.

You can experience more fulfillment in your life and relationships! I’m here to support you.

I’m the type of therapist who enjoys taking on the complexity of life, emotions, and relationships.

Maybe what you have going on feels too challenging to sort out or even impossible to deal with, but you don’t have to do it on your own—I am here to help!

On the outside it may seem like you have it all together, but what others might not see is the immense pressure that has been building up beneath the surface.

This pressure is what leads to stress on your relationships, burnout in your career, higher levels of anxiety, and more.

I love working with folks who are further along in their careers and relationships—people who have worked hard to get where they are in life and are often seen by others as high achievers, perfectionists, and maybe even a little controlling.

If this is you, you might be really hard on yourself.  Or someone you love may have let you down causing a lot of pain.

It might feel like we should be able to figure it all out on our own, but even successful, self-sufficient people need support working through the really hard stuff sometimes.

And I’m ready to help you through the really tough stuff:

Healing from infidelity

Wanting to improve a long-term relationships and doing the hard work of rebuilding connection and intimacy

Navigating divorce and break ups

Eating disorders and problems with body image

Family conflict, drama, and trauma

I am a direct therapist—if you like to know what your therapist is thinking or maybe your worst nightmare is a quiet therapist who just smiles and nods, then I am a good fit for you.

Being direct can sometimes be uncomfortable, but that’s what therapy is about.

Sometimes we have to go through the uncomfortable to make changes in our life.

I am able to give feedback, I gently challenge clients when their thought processes are ineffective or unhealthy, I reflect back to clients things they are saying or feeling to help them better understand themselves, and I almost always leave clients with something to work on outside of session.

I use humor.

Humor can soften things.  Humor is bonding. We go through difficult times in life and even when we are experiencing difficult emotions, we can experience lighter moments as well.

On a personal note…

Some of the things that fill up my life include traveling with my husband, trying to keep plants alive, being out in nature, cats, food, more food, and all of the books!  I will never pass up an opportunity to step into a local bookstore, and if you add in a delicious chai latte then I’m good to go!

Like many therapists, I was drawn to this field through my own experiences navigating difficult relationships and life experiences.  I firmly believe that no matter how challenging a situation may be, we have the opportunity to learn and grow from it if we are willing to slow down and look at it from different perspectives – and this truly is the way I try to live my life.
