Compassionate & Effective BIPOC Relationship Therapy
Hi, I’m Megan, therapist, and founder of Love Heal Grow Therapy Center.
I identify as Mixed, one side of my family is of Mexican descent and the other is of European descent.
The traumas of colonization, immigration and assimilation on my Mexican side created intergenerational trauma cycles that were passed down in my family through abuse and neglect.
When working with white therapists for my own healing, I found that there was always a piece of my experience that wasn’t fully understood. Or microagressions charged the room.
It was important to me to create a diverse team at Love Heal Grow so that our community could connect with more BIPOC therapists who sometimes are better able to “get” the experiences of their BIPOC clients.
