Hi! I’m Liza.
I am the type of therapist who has practiced for a very long time–I am confidently able to help folks do deep work and I’m also down to earth with a sense of humor.
My clients tell me that they feel so much better after our work together. “I didn’t know what today’s session was going to be like but it’s exactly what I needed,” is something I’m frequently told. 🙂
I provide therapy for adults:
I help people who feel as though they are doing something wrong–that they aren’t good enough no matter what.
My clients start therapy feeling sad, numb & lonely. They are always comparing themselves to others. They don’t think that they are funny, smart enough, pretty enough. They feel anxious or depressed, overall not good and not sure of ways to manage it. It’s ‘hard to say what their strengths or hobbies are. They feel lost. “There’s something wrong with me,” they think.
Through therapy, they feel loved, supported and understood. They feel hopeful again.
I also provide couples therapy:
I help couples who feel icy and disconnected in their relationships reconnect and create a deeper sense of safety and closeness.
My couples start therapy feeling tired, worried and sad. They feel as though they are never on the same page and they fight about the same things over and over again. They can’t seem to find another way to talk about things, even when they have good intentions. They feel hopeless and worn out, one feels as though they are weak and pathetic and the other feels as though they are doing everything and they just want some help.
Through therapy, they feel relaxed, connected, and like they matter. It feels good in the relationship again.
I also work with teenagers, families, parents, and divorced/co-parenting couples.
On a personal note…
I’m a working parent who gets it. I love the outdoors, finding ways to enjoy life and spending time with those who support me. I enjoy a good cheese paired with a good laugh.
