flo therapist sacramento

Hi! I’m Flo.

I’m the type of therapist who will join you in therapy by providing direct feedback and teaching you life-changing skills.

My clients tell me that I catch their reactions/hidden emotions really well; this helps them heal and get stronger at communication. They also share that I ask them really good questions that help them think deeply and understand themselves and their feelings better.

I provide sex therapy for queer, trans, and BIPOC adults:

I help people who struggle in getting to their desired open and kinky lifestyle.

You feel scared, anxious, and unsupported. You’re queer and you’re looking to reconnect with your sexual and kinky self. You may have had struggles with trauma, porn use, or religious beliefs that have affected your engagement in sex. You may need a little nudge and some information about what you life could look like with sexual freedom. You don’t want to feel worried about your queer identity, whether people will leave you or misunderstand you.  You are NOT sexually broken (even if your brain can’t stop thinking you are)!

Therapy can help you feel loved, understood, and connected with your pleasure!

I also provide relationship therapy for couples, triads, polycules:

I help folks in marginalized communities work towards having a better understanding of themselves, their ideal relationship structure, and their sexual health.

You’re feeling scared, misunderstood, and uncared for. You’ve been cycling through the same problems, but you’d really like to work on your communication and to trust each other more. Maybe you’ve debated taking the leap into non-monogamy but have no idea where to start. Or you’ve been struggling with porn use and differing sexual desires, but are hoping to find a middle ground. You might feel worried that you’re not attractive to your partner anymore or that you’ll never feel connected physically and emotionally at the level you want to bel.

Through therapy, you can feel excited for sex, passionate about physical intimacy, and successful at communication!

On a personal note…

Most of my clients identify as queer, trans, and/or BIPOC, and I LOVE that!

I work with cis, straight white folks too, but before you sign up to work with me please consider if…

  • You can get with my pronouns. I am non-binary and use they/them pronouns. Respecting your identity is important to me and you respecting mine is too!
  • You are ready for a sex-positive and feminist perspective. I’m ready to challenge the patriarchal and puritanical systems that keep all of us from feeling free in sex and love.
  • You have done work to understand the privilege you have as a cis, straight white person. I’m Black and queer living in America–your therapy isn’t about me AND it’s my right to feel safe at work, so racism and sexism projected at me is really not okay.
  • You’re ready to work with a big-hearted, highly skilled therapist that is ready to help you have the best sex, relationships, and life possible!

I myself LOVE, love. I am non-monogamous, a partner, a cat-parent, and a big foodie! I love traveling, listening to audiobooks, and watching telenovelas.
