Hi! I’m Madilyn.
I’m the type of therapist who uses holistic methods based in science so you can have the lasting change you want.
My clients tell me things like, “I have used what we’ve talked about in my relationships and it’s significantly helped improve communication and connection”; “I feel like I understand/have much more compassion for myself since we’ve started working together”; “This is my safe place.”
I provide holistic therapy for adults:
I help highly sensitive, creative individuals who are navigating anxiety, self-doubt, and life transitions find emotional balance, build resilience, and create deeper connections by setting boundaries and fostering self-compassion through therapy.
You feel anxious, overwhelmed, and disconnected. You might identify as highly sensitive and/or creative, and you often feel overwhelmed by your own expectations and the demands of life. You struggle with self-doubt and anxiety, especially during transitions, and tend to second-guess or dismiss your own feelings when faced with uncertainty. You deeply value connection but find yourself withdrawing or shutting down when emotions become intense; it feels isolating. You long for a sense of emotional safety and clarity but struggle to trust yourself, as old patterns and fears can take over in moments of stress.
Through therapy, you can feel safe within yourself, confident in your choices and able to set boundaries, and connected to others.
I also provide couples therapy:
I help committed, growth-oriented couples who are navigating life’s challenges rediscover connection, trust, and joy together.
You feel disconnected, frustrated, and lonely. You are deeply committed to each other but you’ve been struggling to prioritize your emotional connection amidst life’s demands. One partner tends to lean into problem-solving and “fixing” things, which might come across as unintentionally dismissive or overly critical, while the other might say they feel unseen and unheard, retreating emotionally as a way to protect themselves. You love each other but feel stuck in patterns of misunderstanding and distance, and you’re seeking guidance to rebuild trust, communicate more openly, and find your way back to feeling safe, understood, and emotionally close. Whenever you try to talk about hard things, the conversation turns into defensiveness and fighting instead of understanding.
Through therapy, you can feel safe with each other, understood, and emotionally close.
On a personal note…
Away from the therapy space, my life is filled with connecting with nature as much as possible, creating and listening to music, exploring new hobbies such as rock climbing and yoga. I like to travel as possible to the coast and spend time with my orange kitty.
